BeeSmart & Blog
Here I share my passion for the fascinating world of bees – as a beekeeper, blogger and speaker. In my small apiary in Middle Franconia (Bavaria), I look after around 25 commercial colonies and breed my own queen bees.
I advise beekeepers, give lectures and provide training on topics such as natural beekeeping, ecology and the history of bees. I volunteer as a museum guide at the Zeidel-Museum Feucht e.V., where I give tours on the cultural history of beekeeping from ancient times to the present day and offer beekeeping courses.
Welcome to my world – from the beehive to history!
Bees are a piece of Freedom
In a world full of screens and deadlines, bees are the epitome of freedom for me. They don’t follow algorithms, but the rhythm of nature – flying where the flowers beckon and living in a democracy older than any human one. Being with the bees means switching off: no internet, no noise – just the buzzing of the colony and the scent of the meadow.
Analogue nature becomes a safe space for the soul, where serenity and patience have room to breathe again. Beekeeping is more than a hobby for me: it is deceleration, resilience and a piece of true freedom in a fast-paced world.
Bees meet Art
Bees give me more than honey and freedom – they open up a source of creativity that is not material. The actual origin is immaterial: the collective world of creative ideas flows through consciousness into the liquid wax and solidifies in space-time as an echo of another dimension.
This vital, creative force flows into the wax – and manifests itself when I melt and paint it. In encaustic, this energy becomes visible: colours glide, mix unexpectedly, form lively, organic structures – sometimes wild, sometimes calm, always authentic. This creates a cycle: from the immaterial wisdom of bees to wax to art on canvas. Sustainable, respectful and deeply connected to nature.
As phygital NFTs & collections on the blockchain, the works become digitally immortal, while the originals retain the haptic magic of wax. Immerse yourself in this world.
